Make a bequest to The Lady Musgrave Trust

Let your legacy build a brighter future for young women in need

To remember The Lady Musgrave Trust in your will gives shelter, safety, and hope to young women and their children who are at risk or vulnerable. The Trust is sincerely grateful to those who consider making a bequest, once they have taken care of their own loved ones.

Leaving a Legacy

You can help us meet our long-term commitment to provide accommodation and support services for homeless young women and their children now and into the future. By making your will and leaving a bequest to The Lady Musgrave Trust, you will leave a legacy that gives young women a helping hand in their time of most need.

How can I help?

The Lady Musgrave Trust has been helping young women in need since 1885. By considering a bequest to the Trust, you will be assisting other young women to achieve brighter futures.

What kind of bequest can I give?

You can choose to leave a gift for a particular purpose, such as subsidising accommodation costs, or allow us to allocate it where it is needed the most.

A bequest can be any gift or donation left in your will. You could consider giving:

  • cash
  • property
  • shares
  • personal items
  • perpetual gift
  • residuary bequest
  • specified amount
  • percentage of money
  • specific asset from your estate

Who do I contact first?

Your first point of contact is your solicitor to let them know you would like to include The Lady Musgrave Trust in your will.

Your will is a legal document. It is important to have the correct wording to ensure your intentions are clear. You can use the following wording to leave a bequest to The Lady Musgrave Trust in your will, or as a codicil to your existing will:

“I give to The Lady Musgrave Trust of Suite 154, 16 Beenleigh Redland Bay Road, Loganholme in the State of Queensland, [(describe asset or amount) (or) my whole estate (or) the residue of my Estate] and I declare that the receipt of the Treasurer, Secretary or Public Officer for the time being of The Lady Musgrave Trust is a sufficient discharge to my Executors in respect of a gift to The Lady Musgrave Trust”.
