The Lady Musgrave Trust is governed by a carefully selected voluntary board of directors who donate their time to giving struggling women and their children a chance in life. They and their CEO, have a passion and commitment to the work of The Lady Musgrave Trust and are dedicated to saving and enhancing the lives of women across Queensland.

Victoria Parker – Chief Executive Officer

Victoria Parker – Chief Executive Officer

Before joining the Lady Musgrave Trust, Victoria managed her own consultancy specialising in social impact and community engagement, with a particular focus on community, family, and housing related clients. Over the last five years Victoria has played a leadership role in several flagship community focussed projects including Logan Together – one of Australia’s largest child and family development programs. Victoria has until recently served as the Chair of the Lady Bowen Trust – a charitable trust that supports Queenslanders into safe and stable housing.

Lisa O’Donnell – Operations Manager

Lisa O’Donnell – Operations Manager

Lisa O’Donnell has wide-ranging experience in working for government and not for profit organisations in Victoria and Queensland including most recently  with the Queensland Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy.  Lisa has extensive experience in managing partnerships and stakeholder relationships and in leading and contributing to community focussed social impact and engagement projects both as a staff member and a volunteer.  Lisa’s qualifications include a Masters of Marketing (Business) from RMIT and most recently a Graduate Certificate in Policy and Governance (QUT).

Louise Kelly – President

Louise Kelly – President

Louise Kelly’s desire to empower vulnerable women was first influenced when she attended the Lady Musgrave Trust’s Annual Forum on Homelessness and Women.  This led her to join the board of directors of The Lady Musgrave Trust in 2017 and take on the role as President in 2021.   Louise is a Senior Lecturer at the QUT Business and Law School and teaches and researches in digital marketing, advertising and media.  She holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing), a Masters degree, a Doctorate of Philosophy, she is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Jocelyn Manique – Treasurer

Jocelyn Manique – Treasurer

With more than 30 years’ experience in finance and 10 years’ board experience, Jocelyn has a solid reputation as a senior finance executive and trusted advisor for Boards and business owners. Jocelyn has held a number of Finance Director roles with a variety of large and smaller privately owned businesses throughout Europe, Africa and Asia.  She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Certified Member of the Governance Institute of Australia and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Jocelyn is proud to apply her financial and board expertise to support The Lady Musgrave Trust in achieving its vision of eliminating homelessness for all women in Queensland

Allison McKelvie – Director

Allison McKelvie – Director

Allison is a Partner at Hall Browns Accountants and has over 30 years’
experience in taxation and business services. Allison provides strategic taxation and business advice to a wide range of clients and she knows that playing an active role in client’s businesses and focussing on their long-term goals and financial well-being is key to any client relationship.

Allison holds a Bachelor of Business, is a member of the CPA’s, a registered tax agent and licensed SMSF adviser. As a female in business both employing young women and supporting female clients, Allison is looking forward to bringing financial skills gained in Public Practice to The Lady Musgrave Trust in order to assist young women who are less fortunate.

Isabel Vidot – Director

Isabel Vidot – Director

Isabel joined the board of The Lady Musgrave Trust in June 2021. Isabel is a Senior Associate in the Corporate Advisory and Governance team of HopgoodGanim Lawyers (one of Queensland’s leading full service commercial law firms). Isabel has advised on an extensive range of corporate transactions throughout her career and has gained valuable expertise in corporate governance matters, directors duties and board operations.

Isabel works with clients from a variety of industries, however she has a particular interest in the health and wellbeing space. It is this passion that has lead her to pursuing opportunities to utilise her legal skills to support young women and those less fortunate.

Isabel holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Major in Psychology) from the University of Western Australia.

Bill Owens – Director

Bill Owens – Director

Bill Owens was appointed as a director of The Lady Musgrave Trust in December 2021. He is an experienced Non-Executive Director with expertise in governance, strategy development, risk, financial and audit management, board evaluation and remuneration & development. He has specialist expertise in technology led business transformation and digital literacy for leaders. He graduated from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2011.

Apart from his Non-Executive director role on the Trust, Bill is a Non-Executive Director at Relationships Australia Queensland (RAQ), an allied health charity. He chairs the RAQ Business Strategy sub-committee and is a member of the RAQ People & Governance sub-committee. He is also a Non-Executive Director at Montrose Therapy & Respite Services and is a member of the Montrose Finance Committee.

Bill is Managing Director and a co-owner of Veracity, an ICT services consultancy that specialises in government, Not-For-Profit (NFP) and local business sectors. He has well-established professional networks in federal and state government, allied health, arts, and business communities.

Glenn Dickson – Director

Glenn Dickson – Director

Glenn is a recently retired Barrister with substantial experience in Charity law. Prior to going to the Bar in 2010, Glenn had 26 years experience as a solicitor. As Deputy Official Solicitor to the Public Trustee of Queensland, he provided advice on Charitable Trusts and had the carriage of applications to the Supreme Court, including the construction of Trust Deeds and cy-pres schemes.

Glenn has a Bachelor of Laws degree with honours from the Queensland Institute of Technology and a Master of Laws degree from the University of Queensland. He was the member of the Queensland Law Society Succession Law Section/Committee – 1999 to 2015; Queensland Law Society Succession Law Specialist Accreditation Advisory Committee – 2001 to 2012; STEP Queensland Committee – 2012 to 2017; and the Bar Association of Queensland Succession & Elder Law Committee – 2016 to 30 June 2021.

Leanne Raiser – Director

Leanne Raiser – Director

Leanne Raiser joined the board of The Lady Musgrave Trust in December 2021. Leanne was a 23-year veteran of the Australian Federal Police, retiring at the rank of Superintendent after spending significant portions of her career working with vulnerable communities in Australia and the Asia-Pacific, including in the Northern Territory, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea and Timor Lesté. She holds a Master of Arts (Terrorism Safety & Security), a Graduate Certificate in Applied Management (Policing & Emergency Services), a Diploma of Public Safety (Policing), and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Leanne hopes to bring her professional experience and personal drive to bear in seeking better outcomes for young women in Queensland who are at risk of homelessness.

Anthony Jones

Anthony Jones – Director

Anthony has been working in the urban planning and property advisory sector for 20 years, delivering a range of successful residential, industrial and commercial development outcomes.

He has worked directly with all levels of government in Australia, providing strategic property and development advice and in preparing public policy to guide the future growth of our cities.

He has also provided professional advice and services to a range of investors, businesses and developers on all aspects of the development cycle, including acquisition, design and approvals, construction, and marketing and sales.

Anthony is also committed to industry development and has served on a range of industry boards and committees, including the Property Council of Australia (QLD) Planning Committee, UQ Planning Advisory Board, and the Griffith University (Logan Campus) Development Advisory Board.

Sonya Keep Headshot

Sonya Keep – Director

Sonya has more than two decades of experience in not-for-profit governance and leadership with organisations working in housing, homelessness, family and community support, employment and emergency services. She has served on State and Local Government advisory boards working to improve housing supply and reduce disadvantage for vulnerable members of the community. 

Sonya was the inaugural CEO of Common Ground Queensland (CGQ), a specialist housing organisation working to end homelessness through the creation of supportive housing for individuals and families.

Sonya is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Association of Certified Practicing Accountants. She holds a master’s degree in business administration, a bachelor degree in business majoring in accounting, and is currently completing a Master of Counselling.

Beau-Jane De Costa

Beau-Jane De Costa – Company Secretary

An MBA qualified professional and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Beau-Jane has over a decade’s worth of experience specialising in corporate governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management, leadership and strategic planning and alignment.
 
She has held various roles as a Senior Executive in governance, compliance, risk and strategy across Australia, including managing Boards of Directors within the property development industry.
 
Beau-Jane’s expertise has been recognised nationally. She received the Australia’s Governance Top 100 Outstanding Achievers Award for 2023, and was recognised in the Australia’s Governance Top 100 for 2022 and 2023.
 
Beau-Jane has always been passionate about volunteering, and has provided governance and corporate advice and support to not-for-profit organisations working in the homelessness, addiction, mental health, disability and at-risk youth sectors.
 
Beau-Jane has earned a reputation as a person of integrity and credibility, and has become a trusted adviser to internal and external stakeholders, CEOs and Boards of Directors focused on operational excellence, innovation and performance improvement.
Penny Brown – Events Manager (Volunteer)

Penny Brown – Events Manager (Volunteer)

Penny is an experienced and skilled events and marketing executive with more than 15 years’ experience designing and delivering large scale corporate and private events. Penny has always had a passion for curating and creating memorable experiences and thrives in team environments that share her commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. Penny is thrilled to be supporting the work of the Trust and positively impacting the lives of young women who are doing it tough. Penny holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing), is a part time Pilates instructor and contributes her time to a number of community organisations in her local area.

Vale Pixie Annat (1930 – 2022) – Business Adviser, Community Relations

Vale Pixie Annat (1930 – 2022) – Business Adviser, Community Relations

Pixie Annat worked tirelessly for many decades for the Queensland community. Highlights include:

  • Hon. Secretary of the Royal Brisbane Hospitals Nurses’ Assn. Inc.
  • Awarded the MBE – Queen’s Birthday Honours List in 1997 and an OAM in 1992
  • Director of Nursing and CEO of St Andrews Memorial Hospital from 1965 to 1992
  • Federal President of the Royal Australia Nursing Federation from 1975 – 1979

The contributions made by Pixie over the years to The Trust has laid the foundations upon which we continue to build.
